Attorneys

I grew up in Dalton, Georgia and lived in several towns in the Southeast before moving to Fresno in 1988.

After working in radio during high school and college, I was a television news reporter and anchor for two CBS affiliates: WCHS TV in Charleston, West Virginia; and WKRG TV in Mobile, Alabama. A documentary I produced, wrote, edited, and narrated was named the Best Documentary in the Southeastern United States by the United Press International Broadcasters Association in 1983. In 1984, I received the Award for Outstanding Journalistic Achievement from the Mobile Press Club.

Most of my working life was spent in outside sales and sales management, everything from television advertising to corporate training to collection services to custom business software.

During my last two and a half years in law school, I worked as a law clerk for a personal injury attorney.

Thinking and speaking on my feet are things I have been doing virtually all my life. The skills I honed during my time as an award-winning television news reporter and anchor and as a professional in outside sales help me use language to persuade others to see things your way.

At the age of 17, I was the Georgia State High School Champion in Extemporaneous Speaking. Years later, I defeated students from 85 law schools around the country to win the William H. Thomas Award for Oral Advocacy from Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, International. I have experience and a winning track record in using language to persuade.

As a private attorney, I have the time to give you the dedicated, personal service you deserve. I will work hard for you.

My primary area of practice is Criminal Defense. If you have a need outside of this area, call me anyway. I know many other skilled attorneys. I can refer you to a lawyer you will be able to trust.
